Zanshin (Leeds)
Martial Arts Store went live online in March 2011. Although a
new store, Zanshin (Leeds) Martial Arts is backed by a wealth of
experience.
Founded by former
Leeds Martial Arts manager, Carl Fox, we
specialise in all
types of martial arts equipment, including suits, belts,
protective equipment, training shoes, weapons, training
equipment, and many more things. We sell clothing for many
styles of martial arts, including Karate, Judo, Taekwondo, Ju-Jitsu, Kick Boxing,
Boxing, Muay Thai, etc. We sell to the public and to the trade,
including other shops and club instructors.
Carl Fox became the
manager of Leeds Martial Arts Supplies on North Street, Leeds in
May 2004 after the death of the previous manager, Eddie Senior,
who built up a good solid friendship with many of his customers
- many of whom became his friends, regularly dropping in to the
shop for a cup of tea and a chat.
After becoming
manager, Carl Fox continued to build up and maintain a good
relationship and friendship with his customers - many of whom
would come into the shop for a cup of tea and a chat. As a
regular writer for Martial Arts Illustrated and Impact, Carl is
also a staff member and the website designer for The Bruce &
Brandon Lee Association in the UK. Carl has been a Shotokan Karate practitioner
for over 20 years and brings knowledge of it to the
Zanshin (Leeds) Martial Arts Supplies, as well as a vast knowledge of many
martial arts styles and weapons.
In
March 2010, Leeds Martial Arts on North Street sadly closed down.
However, Carl continued his interest in the martial arts retail sector
and in March 2011, he launched the online only store, Zanshin (Leeds) Martial
Arts. Having the store online only ensures that we do not have expensive
running costs and are therefore able to pass on extra savings to our
customers.
One of Leeds Martial
Arts' weaknesses was having to deal with only one manufacturer
for equipment which meant if that manufacturer
ran out of a
product, the shop was unable to approach another manufacturer to
fulfil orders.
Zanshin (Leeds) Martial Arts are not tied to just one
manufacturer, which gives our customers a varied range of martial arts
clothing and equipment. Being an online only store, we do not have
expensive running costs and are therefore able to pass on extra
savings to our customers.
